The clay-tile roof of this authentic Chinese pagoda was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy and had to be completely removed and rebuilt.
Other roofing experts were unable to reproduce the original tile, but The Durable Slate Company was able to both identify the clay-tiles and knew the unique method necessary to install them. After we discovered the original Chinese manufacturer, we imported the tiles, rebuilt and replaced the pagoda's wooden frame, and re-installed the new tiles precisely for a fit that perfectly reproduced the original, historic look.
