Built in 1896, the South Baltimore Learning Center is housed in the former Southern District Police Station in South Baltimore. Once replete with holding cells and a courtroom, the building has been transformed into efficient classrooms, labs, and administrative offices.
The Southern Police Station is listed in the 2001 National Register of Historic Places.
Working alongside Azola Building Rehab Inc, The Durable Slate Company replaced Chapman slates and crooked hip slates, spread throughout the roof. In addition, we sealed all ridges and hips with roof cement, caulked any penetrations, and protected two vent tops with rust inhibiting paint.
Lastly, we replaced all deck mounted half round copper gutters and downspouts on the main roof.
