Vine Street Hill Cemetery is a historic cemetery located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Established in 1839, it is the final resting place for many notable figures in Cincinnati's history, including military veterans, politicians, and business leaders. The cemetery spans approximately 45 acres and features a variety of architectural styles, including Gothic, Egyptian, and Neoclassical. It is also home to a number of notable gravesites, such as those of Civil War generals, a former mayor of Cincinnati, and a member of the United States Congress. In addition to its historical significance, the cemetery is also a popular destination for those interested in horticulture and gardening, as it features a variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers.
For this project, The Durable Slate Company setup scaffolding to access the rear, upper roof face, removed tile from hip-to-hip and top-to-bottom, installed new tile underlayment, reinstalled all clay-tile, and, finally, reflashed the dormer, chimney, and two vent stacks using hand soldered copper.
